Paper marbling

 Using modern paints, materials, and techniques, students will explore marbling techniques

and designs on paper. Several traditional patterns will be covered, in addition to experimenting

 with flower forms. Participants will come away with a complete understanding of all aspects

 of marbling along with many finished papers to use for reference and

 projects.                                                                                                                                                                            

Instructor: Steve Pittelkow (from USA) has 45 years of experience working with mabling papers. 

Steve’s papers are distinguished by bright colours and precise designs and they are featured in

books and museum collections. He has taught extensively across the US and Europe, including

 Penland School of Crafts, The Metropolitan Museum, and many other art centers. 

The course will be in English and is in partnership with Halden Printworks.
