Late-morning at IDDIS
Get to know your local museum
What would you do if your every move was being watched and you could be arrested and tortured simply for expressing your opinions? This was the reality for Solveig, Otto, Erling, and many other Norwegians who defied the Nazis by printing and distributing illegal newspapers during the Second World War.
Museum educator Atle tells the stories of local heroes and heroines who fought for their country with ink and paper. Join us at the museum on 26 August to see authentic illegal newspapers, and feel free to share your own stories if you have any.
The talk will be held primarily in norwegian.
Once a month, we invite you to a late-morning gathering featuring stories, guided tours, and encounters with objects from our collections — always led by members of our own staff.
The event is included in the regular admission ticket and, of course, free for annual pass holders.
After the event, the café will offer a special late-morning menu.
