Guided Tour

Welcome to the Printing Workshop at the Norwegian Printing Museum. Every Wednesday at 2 PM, you are invited to join us on the second floor, to experience our historic printing machines. You can smell the ink, see the old presses in action, and even try printing something yourself. In the workshop, you will find equipment that was used to print newspapers, books and commercial print materials in Stavanger before the 1980s. The print shop features type cases filled with metal letters, some of the museum's largest machines, and a variety of printing presses, including "Gamlå" from 1913. We also have a small bookbinding workshop.
